About Secret Valley Wildlife Park

Step into the Wild at Secret Valley Wildlife Park

Secret Valley Wildlife Park is the only fully licensed zoo and wildlife park in the South East of Ireland. Founded in 2007 by Ann O’Connor, what began as a small family farm has grown into an award-winning park that’s home to over 200 animals across more than 40 species.

Set within 14 acres of beautiful countryside in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East, we combine hands-on animal encounters with a strong focus on education, conservation, and family fun.

Our History

From its humble beginnings, Secret Valley was built on a love of animals and a commitment to their welfare. Over the years, Ann and her dedicated team have transformed the park into a haven for rescued and rehomed animals.

As proud members of BIAZA, we provide a safe home for animals from challenging backgrounds, including ex-laboratory animals, former pets, and others in need of sanctuary. Every visit supports their care and helps us continue to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and the realities of the pet trade.

Today, Secret Valley is a vibrant, welcoming park where visitors can connect with animals, learn their stories, and enjoy an unforgettable day out.

Our Mission

At Secret Valley, our mission is simple, we believe that every visit should be both fun and meaningful — leaving our guests with lasting memories and a deeper respect for animals.

Care

Provide the best possible welfare, enrichment, and environment for every animal in our care, ensuring they feel safe, healthy, and loved.

Educate

Inspire visitors of all ages with interactive, hands-on experiences that build a deeper understanding of wildlife and responsible animal care.

What Our Visitors Say

An absolute gem for families
M Farrell
Just an hour and a half from Dublin, Secret Valley Wildlife Park is an absolute gem for families. It’s the perfect place for kids to get real hands-on experience with animals. Feeding the baby goats was a real highlight for us – such a lovely, gentle interaction. The older kids loved feeding the big goats, alpacas, and llamas too. It’s a proper up-close encounter that’s both fun and educational.
Really Lovely Place

We paid to feed the Capybaras and it was an amazing experience. The Staff member that was with us was so nice. We committed on how happy and well looked after all the animals seemed. Brilliant time at a brilliant place. Definitely worth a visit.
Great Experience
Putri P
Great experience! Came here just for the capybaras, but ended up spending a half day here. They'll give some food to feed alpacas and baby goats. It's included in the ticket price. There's some handling animals session which kids will love it. Restaurants are clean and serve varieties of foods and drinks at a reasonable price.
Fantastic family day out

Such a great morning at secret valley. Our little guy absolutely loved it. We got to feed the goats as well as have Toby the tortoise walk around with us. After the farm we got to enjoy the massive bouncy castle by the cafe - our 2 year old had a blast! Will definitely be visiting again .
An amazing family day

We had such an amazing family day yesterday at secret valley. The staff were so welcoming and shared their knowledge about the animals. It was magical - not even the rain could ruin the fun.. My daughter got the Capybara experience as a gift for her birthday and her mind is blown she loved it. The food was delicious in the thirsty tortoise. Thanks a million to all we can’t wait to come back.
Absolutely love this place
Linda H
I absolutely love this place. The animals are so well cared for and the enclosures for the most part are big, and the ones that aren't are planned for renovation. A real treat.
A great day out
Tom B
It is a great day out with plenty to do. The animals are interesting. There is a tortoise scurrying around the place which is huge. There are various other animals from the usual to the exotic. The picnic area is very nice. There are two playgrounds one inside one out. The owner is very busy running sessions with the animals or driving children around the place on a mad looking train.
An absolute gem

This place is an absolute gem, it’s done so well and you can tell the amount of work that goes into it. It’s a great place to bring kids for a few hours and to get lunch while you’re there.
