About Secret Valley Wildlife Park

Our History

Secret Valley Wildlife Park is the only fully licensed zoo and Wildlife Park in the South East. Ann O’Connor set up the original farm in 2007 and it has since grown from strength to strength.

Since then, it has flourished, driven by Ann and her team’s heartfelt passion for caring for the animals and providing visitors with a personal, wholesome, and educational experience.

Secret Valley is a BIAZA wildlife park committed to giving animals from compromised backgrounds a second chance at life. We care for ex-laboratory animals, former pets, and those who have faced difficult beginnings. While they have had a poor past, we use these experiences to educate our visitors about important issues, such as the challenges of the pet trade and how we can all make a positive difference. We see it as offering them a “happy” retirement home where each individual animal becomes part of our animal care team’s family.  Every visit supports our park, and helps us continue this vital work.

The parks rich history is now part of Irelands Ancient East which you can read about here

With fourteen areas of beautiful countryside, the Park has plenty of room for expansion and is growing .  We have a great range of animals at the Wildlife Park such as  rescued Primates, Otters, Capybara, Llamas, Domestics and more. With other 40 different species amounting to 200 animals at the park there is plenty to do and see! Activities are aplenty from daily animal handling sessions, Bottle-Feeding Baby Goats, Keeper talks and a range of personalised experienced that can be suited towards all ages!
