White-Fronted Brown Lemur

White-Fronted Brown Lemur

White-fronted brown lemurs are only found on the island of Madagascar. They are a sexually dimorphic lemur, meaning the males and females look different. The males have white fur surrounding their face, whereas the females are a solid brown colour. They have large thumbs on their hind feet, making them excellent climbers and swift movers in the trees. They mostly eat vegetation, flowers, fruits, nectar and will occasionally snack on insects. The white-fronted brown lemur is classed as “vulnerable” on the IUCN Red List.
